Well Beaver Nation can now say we are national Champs in something.
On Monday Night, 26th of June, The Beavers beat the North Carolina Tarheels to post a 2-1 edge in games and claim the College World Series Title. Congratulations, and you made all of BEAVER Nation proud.
The Portland Trail BLAZERS held their annual draft for the NBA. After many trades and moves, the Blazers ended up pretty well. We got LaMarcus Aldfidge from Texas, Brandon Roy from Washington, Sergio Rodriguez from Spain and Joel Freeland from England. The Blazers gave up Sebastian Telfair, Viktor Kryapya and Theo Ratliff. We gained some future draft picks and cash. All in all a good draft day. It would have been nice to also have gotten Adam Morrison from Gonzaga. I was intrigued by him as he is a type 1 diabetic also.
