I know many of us are just bombarded with so many prayer requests, that it is hard to keep them all straight or remember them all the time.
I want to add one more to your list.
Her name is Amy R. I met her at a camp in the 90's near the Ohio/Pennsylvania border. She was a bright and intelligent young lady who was living her life for the Lord.
All through camp, I got to know her and her family very well. Her parents let me stay at there house when I was in the area for visiting churches. Amy had a big love for the Lord, as well as Mark Price and the Cleveland Cavs, basketball team. So we formed a friendship, that has lasted.
My prayer request would be to pray for Amy. She has battled breast cancer. Here is a recent e-mail she sent me.
" I just wanted to let you know that I found out in September that I have a recurrence of breast cancer. They are saying it is stage 4 this time, so I would appreciate your prayers. I am seeking treatment at the Cancer Treatment Center in Zion, Illinois, as my doctor here was not going to be very aggressive at this point. I post updates on www.jeffrhinehart all the time, so if you want to read any updates they will be there.
How is your little girl? I bet she has grown so much.
Your family is in our prayers,
Amy "
If you visit her website, then please read her post from August 10, 2006. It talks about our being at the camp summer of 1995. I never knew what influence I had with her. I am just glad God can even use me.
Another twist to this story is that Amy's brother, Jeff was taken home to glory last year from cancer. He was only 35 years old. Jeff had a wife and young kids who will grow up with no father at home.
The picture here is of Amy and her husband Mike, at their wedding. I have yet to meet him, but am sure he's a great guy. Amy wouldn't settle for anything but God's will for her life.
Please pray for Amy, that she would not be in pain. Pray that she would be able to use this experience to tell others of her love for the Lord. Pray for her husband, Mike as he has to see her go through all of this. Pray for Chuck and Marie, Amy's parents, as they have to see yet another child go through the ravages of this terrible disease. And pray for the rest of the family as they go through this nightmare once more.
I know many of you reading this have gone through similar things. So you know what it is like.
Amy, we love you. Keep your Light shining. God loves you so much. He knows your pain. He created you.
