On Monday, Nov. 12th, the kids at FIBC had the day off from school. With Sunday Nov. 11th being Veterans Day, this is the day they got out of school.
So we had a Missions Service Day planned for them.
We went to Operation Care, here in the valley and worked.
The kids helped to stock and box food at their food pantry. Then they sorted through some clothes that had been donated to their clothing ministry.
After that, we came back here to campus, and had sack lunches. They all got peanut butter sandwiches, an apple, chips, a brownie and a drink. They day before, at church, they were asked what kind of sandwich they would like. But on Monday, they all got a peanut butter and jelly. Anne, told them, the people who get food from the food bank don't get to choose what they get. So the kids learned a valuable lesson about being thankful for any food they get, and not being picky. A lesson we all can take to heart.
After lunch, we played volleyball and football.
