LOVE, JOY & PEACE: WEEKEND MINI CAMP @ SIMC

The 3rd and 4th of October we had a weekend camp for some of the kids who were here this past summer. We had about 39 kids show up. Which was more than we had for any one camp this summer.

I had the opportunity to share an object lesson with the younger kids. About seven kids raised their hands and wanted to ask Jesus to come into their lives, so that they may have a full life. I used popcorn as an object, which showed we, like the corn kernels can pop, but not because of internal pressure but with joy, because of Christ.

All the kids had a good time and look forward to our next weekend camp, Jan. 2 & 3, 2009. Please be in prayer for these mini camps. Once we get our new dorm built, we will be able to house many more kids.

ANDREW IMPORTANT IN 8-6 VICTORY

Andrew H. made a timely interception and strip of the football to help his team, the Chargers to a 8-6 victory.

Andrew is one of my junior high youth kids from church. He is # 51.

FIBC YOUTH GAME NIGHT

On Saturday night, October 4th, we had a youth night activity for the kids at FIBC. We had 14 of the youth show up for game night. The great thing about the 14 was that there were 4 new kids attending.

We played various group games, like pictionary, scene it and family feud. One of the parents brought a popcorn machine and made really good popcorn. We had pizza and various other snacks.

The youth look forward to our November activities, which include a Thanksgiving Service Project and a Turkey Bowl Football game.

Please continue to pray for these young people as they grow in the Lord.
