Early this morning we were awaken to a piercing alarm in our room at the hotel we were staying at in New Orleans. This happened about four times. Very hard to go to sleep when you are expecting another alarm to go off. So I got about 2 1/2 hors of sleep last night/early this morning. We heard the guy pulling the alarms was in jail that morning.
We got up and went to breakfast at IHOP, which was just a couple buildings down the block, in the French Quarter in The Big Easy, New Orleans. We then drove around and saw a few differnt things in NOLA. We headed out of town about 1230 PM and had traffic tie ups for miles. We had a low pressure tire light come on and stopped to check the tires and it started pouring cats and dogs. I mean a rain that would make people in AZjealous and happy. Forrest Gump calls it a, big fat rain....
When we finally got to Tillmans Corner, AL, we stopped at Walmart for supplies for VBS and groceries for the week. After spending about 2 1/2 hours shopping we were finally finished. We then headed for Dauphin Island. When we arrived there, we checked into our rooms and unloaded all the groceries.
We capped the night off by diiner at a local seafood establishment, and then back to the resort center ministry site for devotions and prayer time.
What a great bunch of young people to work with. God is going to do great things this week.
