To Sedate or not to Sedate?

Got back from the hospital an hour ago. They did a shot of cortisone in each facet in my lower back. I had the choice to be sedated or not. I chose not. I will go back in two weeks and have another one done. Then it'll be burning the nerve endings, two weeks after that. No pain in my back right now.
