Community Service Day:
On Thursday August 3rd, we spent the day working at The Grant County Boys and Girls Club in Marion, Indiana.
We did various projects that day which included getting items ready for a huge garage sale, cleaned rooms, fixed shelving in the video game room, and hanging out with kids.
I thank the Lord, that I got to coach some teams in a basketball tournament. The Lord knew what I liked to do and He allowed me to do that. It is something I really miss doing, and I hope once we get to AZ, I will be bale to do more of it.
The court in the B&G Club is named after Marion's own Zach Randolph. Zach, known as Z-Bo, plays for my favorite team, the Portland Trail BLAZERS. So it was neat to see this.
We were able to finish most of the projects they had for us. One day each Orientation Camp is set aside for the participants to do a service project.
