Orientation Camp: Tuesday August 1st

An update from Orientation Camp in Marion, Indiana.

For three mornings we start out the day in a chapel service along with the support staff at headquarters.

On Tuesday morning we heard from new missionary, Carol S. She is a surgeon who is from Alabama via Kentucky. She told of when she was a volunteer in Kenya at Tenwick Hospital. Tenwick is one of WGM's ministries.

She told of a relaxing trip she and one of the other WGM doctors took to a lake resort area. The other doctor was a single lady as well. Her account of them being robbed by gunpoint and then brutally raped by their assailants was heart wrenching. But God protected her and she still has a desire to go back, now as a missionary. If you'd like to have Ccarol come to your church and share her story then let me know and I can set it up.

It brought to mind how minor and insignificant my stress is, over being extended and not getting to The American Indian Field on our timing.

We ask that you pray for all the new missionaries that are going through training with us. That they be able to get the necessary support needed to get where God has called them. Two of them already have that accomplished, and are set to leave this summer. Praise the Lord.

We look forward to seeing how God will use all of you to meet the needs, to get us to the field by March. God is good.
