Prayer Needed

We are asking for those who will stand by us through prayer.

We are asking for your prayers, for the raising up of new meetings in the Pacific Northwest.

It seems as if we are having a hard time getting scheduled into churches for services.

As of now, we have only three services scheduled from now till the end of March.

We still need $ 1,500 in monthly support as well as $ 25,000 in one time cash gifts.

We have a big desire to get to Arizona by the end of March, having already been delayed in September.

We appreciate your prayers.

We love you all and appreciate all those who regularly read our blog.

Thank you from the depths of our hearts.

October 27 & 28: Men With Vision Retreat

On Friday night and Saturday morning, we attended WGM's Men With Vision Retreat in Portland , Oregon.

Many members from the various Oregon chapters of MWV came together for the 49th annual retreat, held at the Portland Holiness Campground on Holgate Street.

We showed our field dvd on Friday night, and I shared with the men and Kimberly with the women, on Saturday morning.

We shared in three meals together as well as fellowship during the retreat.

Todd came from headquarters in Indiana and shared a couple of sermons, as well as our regional director, Adam, sharing in devotions Saturday morning.

The Lord was with us as we renewed many friendships and met other new memebers. We met one man who is interested in getting involved in our ministry.

Our thanks go out to Steve, Oregon president of MWV, for all his help and organizing this retreat.

Oregon State Beavers Upsets No. 3 USC

I had a feeling about this one. I kinda thought we might be able to do it, and it turns out USC was vulnerable.

Oregon State capitalized on four USC turnovers to upset No. 3 USC 33-31, snap the Trojans 27-game Pac-10 winning streak and break the national championship race wide open on Saturday. USC (6-1, 4-1) had also won 18 straight road games. But the mighty Trojans had shown cracks in their last three games, each a victory by seven points or less.

Against the Beavers, they couldn't escape and came up one play short. A game that will make Beaver Nation proud for years to come. Is the heat now off Coach Riley and QB Matt Moore?

At the end of the game, John David Booty's 2-yard scoring pass to Steve Smith with 7 seconds left made the score 33-31. But Oregon State's Jeff Van Orsow batted down a pass on the 2-point conversion play to preserve the lead.

USC started the day as was one of seven unbeaten teams in the country. Now there are six.
Ohio State and Michigan won their games and will hold on to the top two spots in the Bowl Championship Series standings when they come out Sunday.

Oregon State fans celebrated wildly in the second half when quarterback Matt Moore hit Joe Newton with a 9-yard scoring pass and Sammie Stroughter ran a punt back 70 yards for a touchdown to give the Beavers (4-4, 3-2) a 30-10 lead. Then USC outscored OSU 21-3 and made Beaver Nation very nervous. But in the end, it was a defensive play which capped it for the Beavers.

Sunday October 22, 2006

On Sunday we had services with the Pacific Rim Evangelical Methodist Church, pastored by Chester Lum. This service was in Stockton, California.

We want to thank the church for housing us, and feeding us while we were there to share our ministry.

For now, they are meeting in an apartment of one of the members. A really nice couple, who we hope to build a friendship with. They shared a desire to come and see us in Arizona. We look forward to that as well.

During the meeting, I even got the chance to lead the worship singing time, while Kimberly played on the keyboard. And for any of you who know me, I am not musical, as I am sure they could tell. I can only play the stereo.

We thank Pastor Lum for all he did for us. We enjoyed our time sharing about the Native Americans and the potluck they had afterwards.

Once the service and potluck were finished we drove home to Eugene, which was a 8 1/2 hour drive. We got home, safely at 10 pm.

San Francisco

Here we are with The Rock: Alcatraz behind us.
Fisherman's Wharf
Lombard Street: Curvy and Swurvy, and all down hill
Famous SF landmark

On Thursday, the 19th, we got to drive over to SF and spend the day taking in some sights.

We were blessed by a warm sunny day.

We went to Fishermans Wharf and walked around that area.

We also got to drive down Lombard street.

We even got some free chocolate at Ghiradellis Choclolate. Although I was disaapointed they didn't sell their Flicks anymore. Flicks were like skinny choclate kisses in a tube.

Wednesday October 18th

We had an evening Bible Study- Prayer Meeting with some dear saints at the former Fairhaven
Retirement Center in Sacramento.

We so do appreciate the time we had with them. They are certainly prayer warriors, who will most certainly pray for us and those we will minister to.

We look forward to corresponding prayer requests and praises with them.

October 15 - 17, 2006

For three days we held services at Rail Road Flat Community Bible Church in California.

We want to thank Pastor Darryl and his wife Jeannie for hosting us and going out of their way to make us feel welcomed.

On Sunday morning we shared about our ministry and showed the AIF video,

On Sunday night we shared our testimonies and showed a Power Point to go along with it.

On Monday night we shared some prayer requests, did a Native American Trivia Quiz and showed part of the WGM video.

On Tuesday night, the last night, we had a youth emphasis night. We shared the final part of the WGM video, Showed the Task Force video and showed a Power Point Presentation on surrendering your all to Christ and being called to take His message to a dark and lost world.

We are praying for two 6th grade girls, Sam and Court, who are excited about maybe coming to SIMC on a work team.

When I shared my vision for starting a car restoration ministry, on Sunday morning, one man named Jesse came up and offered us an old 1959 truck. He said it needed to be fixed up. We are blessed that many are catching a vision to minister to the Native Americans along side of us.

We are thankful for our time with the wonderful people at RRFCBC. The dessert socials every night were an added blesssing, as it gave us more time to get to know everyone.

Our Anniversary with Michael W. Smith

We got to spend our second wedding anniversary with Christian Recording artist, Michael W. Smith, and my twin brother Tom and his wife Kristin.

Well, actually there were about 2,000 others there at Rolling Hills Community Church in Tualatin, Oregon, a suburb of Portland.

The day started out with a visit to our doctors office and a sonogram, where we got the official confirmation we are having a baby girl. This time there is no doubt that we are having a girl.

Then we went out for lunch at Kim's favorite Mexican restaurant in town.

At about 430 pm the four of us headed to Portland for the MWS concert.

All in all it was a very great day.

These two years have seemed to flown by so quickly. Yet, it seems like we have been married forever. Unlike most couples, we have practically spent the past year and a half together, 24/7.
that's what deputation does for you. We have been blessed by this time spent together. We thank God every day for bringing us together.

The picture is outside the church for the MWS concert. It is a mega church. We heard one man saying, as he left the concert, " not bad for a small hick church."

New Sonograms: October 2006 It's Still a Girl !!!

Here she is. Little Baby Boldon. We went today, in Eugene and got another sonogram. It confirmed that she is indeed a girl. She is doing well and is very healthy. We are indeed BLESSED by God.

October 8th, Service

On Sunday we had a service at The Monmouth Evangelical Church in Monmouth, Oregon. It is about one hour and a half north of Eugene, where we are staying. This church is on the edge and across the street fromthe campus of Western Oregon University.

We enjoyed meeting the new people from the church and being able to share our ministry with them.

We also were blessed to be able to partake in a potluck dinner they had after the service. We thank them for the generous offering they gave and the love they showed us. We hope some will become partners with us to reach the Native Americans for Jesus.
