Well here it is, the sports update to how my favorite teams are doing? Guess this is a bit of a depressing thing. If you like the teams I do. Not all the news is bad.
In baseball, the Cincinnati Reds are not very good this year. Like most years in the recent past. The Reds are in 4th place in thier divison, 10 1/2 games out of first. We will never compete unless we get some pitching.
In football, The Miami Dolphins are 0-2. We just got beat thjis past weekend by the Dallas Cowboys. Our offense, is very inconsistent. And our defense is getting very old. Looks like the new coach has lots more work to do. The Dolphins # 1 pick has got to be questioned also.
In basketball, the Portland Blazers had a great summer, getting the # 1 draft pick, in Greg Oden from Ohio State. He had a horrendous summer, getting tonsilitus, and having to have microfracture knee surgery, and is out for the year. Good thing is he is only 19 years old. Maybe we can get another lottery pick next year.
On the college scene, The Beavers of Oregon State are most encouraging. They won back to back college World Series titles. In in football, we are 2-1. We won our last game, 61-10. Although that was over a lesser football team, Idaho State. So no need to get excited about that one.
Locally, I am looking for a softball team to play on.
Kimberly and I start our monthly execise programs in October. Most of mine will be bicycling.
I know most of this isn't spiritual, but it lets you into our lives.

Yeah, the first thing I thought about when I heard that Oden was out for the year was, "Maybe we'll get lucky again!" But with Roy and Aldrige improving, it shouldn't be all bad!
I'm praying for you guys!
