On Friday Night one week ago, the youth gathered to put Christmas boxes together for a local shelter.
We had Christmas music playing, shoe box wrapping, pizza and cake.
The youth showed up and wrapped 50 shoe boxes. They also loaded the boxes up with items that the people of the church had donated. One of the youth even donated her personal money to help buy more items for the boxes.
The next morning we took the boxes down to the shelter and dropped them off. The man in charge was very thankful for our involvement. He said they would be giving out close to 400 boxes.
Four of the young people were in the Christmas Cantata at church last Sunday night. I was one of the narrators along with another youth worker. Another youth worker helped out by watching the two babies, while their parents practiced. We had over 150 in attendance that night.
Our next event is a New Years Eve Lock In. All the kids are looking forward to that special night.
