The weekend started out with a Men With Vision meeting at the Happy Valley Evangelical Church in Portland. There were about 14 of us men there. We had fruit, muffins and pastries for breakfast. I showed our AIF video and spoke about what we are called to do.
On Sunday we had a morning service at the Jennings Lodge Community Church ( EMC ). It was about one block from our WGM western Regional Office in Milwaukie. We had been staying in the WGM house, behind the office. So it was a quick trip to the church. We got to share our presentation and show our AIF dvd. It was good to be able to have thsi service as not many missionaries get scheduled on Mother's Day. We also shared about the impact of our Mother's on our lives. We were treated out to lunch by a couple from the church who have just been married for 9 months. What a treat to fellowship with them.
